...New England...

On the 7th September 2002, Tammay & I flew to Boston from New York. We picked up a hire car and toured around New England for 10 days, finally coming back to Boston for our last few nights.

8th Sept. We stoped at the Falmouth Ferry Service and took a boat to Martha's Vineyard.

10th Sept: We travel north and hit the Outlet Malls in Kittery (Maine), that evening we stayed at the York Harbor Inn in York Harbor (Maine).

11th Sept. We travel further north to Wells and Freeport (Maine) and even more outlet malls. We stay at the Freeport Inn & Cafe.


Mount Washington

12th Sept. We hit the outlet malls in Freeport (Maine) then drive to Mount Washington. We stay at The Woodstock Inn, North Woodstock (New Hampshire).


Salem Witch Museum

13th Sept. We leave North Woodstock and travel to Salem (Massachusetts).


Roger Conant Statue

On Salem Common, in front of the Salem Witch Museum, stands the famous statue of Roger Conant. We spent the night at the Days Inn in Danvers.


Harvard

14th September. We travel into Boston where we stay at John Jeffries House. While in Boston we walked around the Harvard campus.

John Hancock Tower

At 790-foot tall, this 60-story skyscraper is the tallest in Boston. The low rain clouds meant that the top of the tower just disappeared into the mist.

Boston has some very attractive tree lines back streets.


Old State House

The oldest surviving public building in Boston. While in Boston I got my first experience of Legal Sea Foods where I had a delicious spicy Arctic Char. We went back again the following day!

The New England Holocaust Memorial

The New England Holocaust Memorial is comprised of six glass towers, each 54 feet high. The towers represent the six main death camps and the six million Jews who died.

On the 17th September we travelled back to London. We stopped at Legal Sea Foods in Logan Airport for one last meal before we left Boston.
