October 27 We travelled from Kuala Lumpur to Phuket where we stayed on Karon Beach at Karon Villa Phuket Beach Resort & Spa (509 Karon Beach, Phuket 83100 Thailand - now called Mövenpick Resort & Spa).

Canoeing in the rainforest

We took a day trip into the Rain Forest where we canoed down a river, swam in a waterfall and took an elephant ride.

We spent the afternoon in Phuket town where Tom tried his hand at wake boarding.

Travelling to Phi Phi

October 31 We left Phuket and travelled to the Phi Phi Islands.

While on Phi Phi we stayed in a small hut located right on the beach. This was basically the view from the door.

We agreed for one of the locals to take us out on his long tail boat.

November 2 From the Phi Phi Islands we travelled to West Railway where we stayed at West Railay Sand Sea Resort, www.krabisandsea.com.

November 4 We left West Railay and travelled back to Phuket where we spent one more night at Karon Villa.

November 5 We travelled from Phuket to Kuala Lumpur.
