Africa...Skiing Photos (08)...
Skiing in France – March 16th 2008. Tammay and I flew from Heathrow to Geneva to ski at La Plagne for a second time.

This time we decided to stay right in the centre of the resort. Our chalet was above the ski hire shop so we could literally walk out the door in our socks.

Into the Clouds
It was looking like a nice day. Tammay and I took the ski lift to Les Verdons and took Les Verdons Sud piste down the other side of the mountain. As we left the top, the clouds descended and our visibility started to reduce. Watch the video. We carried on down to the bottom of the run but soon after we took this photo the visibility was so poor that we couldn't even see the ground beneath our feet.

French Freestyle Skiing Championships
While we were stying in La Plagne they held the French Freestyle Skiing Championships. On the Thursday evening we watched the skiercross. Watch the video.

Untouched Snow
While we were in La Plagne we were lucky enough to get quite a bit of fresh snow, particularly on the Thursday. On Friday we were knee deep in powder.
